The campaigners were unhappy with the polices use of force and their actions restricting the filming of events. The tower was occupied for two days before the police decided to remove the campaigner from the tower and latterly the structure. 79 year local campaigner Jackie who provided homemade cakes and refreshments, to all, from a roadside stall close to the tower was forcefully removed by police and her refreshment stall relocated after refusing to move.
